Finding a good counsellor has a lot to do with skill, knowledge, personal fit, and rapport. I advise prospective clients to give me a call before making the decision to have me as their counsellor. I am more than happy to answer any questions that you may have.
-
There are few steps that can help streamline the process so I can provide you with the best services possible, completion of the Intake Form and the Consent Form. These forms provide me with a basic overview of why you’re seeking counselling, as well as inform you of your rights and obligations as a client. The link to these forms are located at the bottom of this page.

Your initial session is the first step of the comprehensive assessment. This is where I ask a lot of questions so we can develop an evidence based plan to get you happy and healthy, as soon as possible. The initial session also provides an opportunity for you to ask any questions that you may have and for me to better understand how counselling is going to work best for you.

I offer online sessions through Doxy, which is a secure telemedicine platform, designed for healthcare providers.
-
My rate is a sliding scale from $150 to $180 per session. Clients are encouraged to pay what they think is appropriate within this range. Each session is 60 minutes in length other than the initial assessment session, which can be up to 90 minutes in length. I do not charge extra if a session goes over it’s allotted time.
-
I am a registered healthcare provider for Medavie Blue Cross, Pacific Blue Cross, Green Shield, SSQ Financial Group, the Criminal Victim Assistance Program (CVAP), and the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA). This includes coverage for members of the Canadian Armed Forces, RCMP, and Veterans Affairs.
Other than FNHA & CVAP, I do not bill directly to any of the aforementioned insurance companies. Because CVAP pays me a rate of $95 per session, clients are asked to pay the remainder of my session fee ($55 to $85).
Should you have any questions about your health insurance benefits, please contact your EFAP or Health Services Provider.

My office is centrally located in Victoria, BC, within proximity of the Oaklands, Jubilee, Fernwood, and Oak Bay communities. Because my private practice is located in my home, I provide my specific address after booking your first session.

I request that all clients provide as much notice as possible for cancellations, with a minimum of 24 hours notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may result in a cancellation fee.
